A one-time doctor at Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center in Dearborn who is accused of misdiagnosing epilepsy in hundreds of metro Detroit kids to boost his earnings was ordered this week to pay a $10,000 fine and serve at least one year of supervised probation.
The consent agreement Monday between Dr. Yasser Awaad, the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and the state Board of Medicine allows Awaad to keep his medical license.
